About PVC
uPVC for window frames
technology, comfort and durability
PVC (polyvinyl chloride) is a thermoplastic composed of carbon, hydrogen, and chlorine. At temperatures between 140°C and 205°C, the material softens and can be molded—an ideal process for extruding rigid profiles (uPVC) used in windows and doors. The profiles are obtained by extrusion and are already designed with:
- Internal chambers (multi-chambers) that reduce heat transfer and noise;
- Storage for hardware and accessories, increasing safety and functionality;
- Hot-fusion welding at the corners, which improves water and wind tightness;
- Galvanized steel reinforcements when the project requires greater rigidity;
- Finishes (white, black, or woodgrain) to integrate with the architectural design.
Quality profiles use titanium dioxide (TiO₂) and UV stabilizers (Ca-Zn system, lead-free) that protect the color from sun and weather. With proper formulation and simple cleaning (water and mild soap), the material maintains its appearance for many years. In extreme and prolonged exposure, slight color variation may occur—this is normal and mitigated by additives and basic maintenance.
¿Por qué elegir marcos de PVC?
resistance
Withstands sun, rain, and sea spray without rusting or warping. Maintains stable function and appearance over the years, with minimal intervention.
low maintenance
Extended service life without repainting. Easy cleaning with water and mild soap, reducing lifecycle costs.
thermal insulation
Multi-chamber profiles and low conductivity reduce heat exchange, promoting comfort and energy efficiency in summer and winter.
insulation
Together with the right glass, it attenuates urban noise and vibrations, increasing comfort in residential and corporate environments.
wind tightness
Corner welding, EPDM gaskets and efficient drainage ensure sealing against rain and gusts, keeping the interior dry.
security
Galvanized steel reinforcements and suitable hardware increase the rigidity, stability and security of the door and window set.
behavior
Rigid uPVC is self-extinguishing and does not propagate flames, contributing to greater safety compared to combustible materials.
pests and fungi
It does not serve as food for termites, is immune to mold and microorganisms, and maintains its performance even in humid climates.
versatility
Colors and textures (white, black, wood) and different opening typologies to interact with modern and classic styles.
recyclability
Long shelf life and 100% recyclable material. Modern formulations use Ca-Zn stabilizers (lead-free), reducing environmental impact.
Preserve the performance of your PVC frames
Make the choice that makes a difference not only in your construction, but also for our planet
